Greetings,
Fresh off the heels of this week's Oscar nominations (care to comment?) comes a strong (and truly) psychological drama opening exclusively here this Friday, January 27.

Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley, and Michael Fassbender star in director David Cronenberg’s A DANGEROUS METHOD. This is the provocative true story of the patient who brought the two fathers of psychoanalysis together and helped tear them apart. The year is 1904. Carl Jung (Fassbender), a disciple of Sigmund Freud (Mortensen), is using Freudian techniques to treat Russian-Jewish psychiatric patient Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley). But the deeper Jung’s relationship with Spielrein grows, the further the burgeoning psychiatrist and his highly respected mentor drift apart. As Jung struggles to help his patient overcome the fits and fury of her past, a disturbed patient Otto Gross (Vincent Cassel) sets out to test the boundaries of the doctor’s professional resolve.
Holding over this week are 10-Time Oscar nominee, THE ARTIST, and Michael Fassbender in his riveting (and should have been Oscar nominated) performance in SHAME.
